Konrad is a German Namibian and grew up on a farm in the Southern Parts of Namibia (near Helmeringhausen). Marinda is a local from the Helderberg basin and they have been living on this property in Gordons Bay since 2003.

By creatively bringing old and new together, they have given The Yard a rustic farmstyle feel with enough luxuries that you expect in an urban area. With Marinda’s love for people and Konrad’s eye for detail, they make sure that their guest’s stay, is both comfortable and unforgettable. Marinda enjoys being a homemaker – baking, preserving, cooking knitting, etc, and most of these are for sale as The Yard Treats. Konrad again turns every project into an artwork. Making sure that it is not only in working order, but it is low maintenance and always adds to the esthetics.
